Ramon Estevez, Director of Underwriting
Lancaster, PA Ramon is Director of Underwriting at High Impact and is responsible for leading the underwriting of housing, business, and commercial real estate loans. Ramon joined High Impact in 2020, bringing two decades of credit and operational experience to the team. He has underwritten C&I and CRE loans of up to $12MM and managed portfolios of up to $60MM in support of both commercial and non-profit lenders. Ramon also supports High Impact’s portfolio analytics and strategic consulting services. Prior to joining High Impact, Ramon worked at Community First Fund, a Pennsylvania-based CDFI, where he had end-to-end responsibility for all facets of commercial credit operations, including budgeting, underwriting, loan closing and portfolio management. In addition to these responsibilities, he chaired or was a member of multiple committees, including Loan Administration, Delinquency, Finance, SBA and New Market Tax Credits. Previously, with Tompkins VIST Bank, Ramon held leadership positions as Credit Department Manager and Project Manager. Ramon was directly involved in systems integrations as both the acquired and acquiring company in M&A transactions. He spearheaded centralized small business unit and commercial real estate stress testing and was responsible for the bank’s SBA lending program. He also developed and automated multiple portfolio management processes. Ramon holds an MBA in Decision System Science from Saint Joseph’s University and a professional degree in Agricultural Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. He is bilingual in English and Spanish. He has served in various church ministries in leadership roles for many years. |
