Ahmed Hajat, Senior Underwriter
Washington, DC Ahmed underwrites loans supporting affordable housing, solar energy, and other mission-driven transactions. He joined High Impact in 2026, bringing 12 years of real estate finance experience spanning the United States and South Africa. Prior to joining High Impact, Ahmed held roles as a Real Estate Manager at Summit Ridge Energy, where he underwrote and closed community solar projects across multi-state portfolios, and as a Development Manager at Montgomery Housing Partnership, a NeighborWorks network member organization, where he structured complex affordable housing transactions involving LIHTC, agency debt, and government subordinate financing. Ahmed holds a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, where he also earned a Certificate in Global Real Estate and was awarded the 2022 Poland Family Real Estate Fellowship. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Johannesburg. |
